Jess Attilli

Jess Attilli has over 20 years experience in the Martial Arts. He started training in Kempo Karate when he was in 6th grade and has been hooked ever since. Throughout his college years he trained in various arts until earning a shodan in Shoryn Ryu Karate. Jess joined the Bujinkan in 1995. Both he and his mentors make it a point to travel to Japan regularly to receive direct training from the Hombu Dojo. Jess became a Shihan in 2011 and is the Ichi Nen Dojo-cho where he is responsible for the instruction and upkeep of the facility.
     
 

Rob Bigley

Is one of the most senior students in the Ichi Nen Dojo. He began training in 2003 and earned his Shodan in 2006. In that time Rob has been to Japan two times, received training in police tactics, and attends several seminars a year. Rob helps teach classes at the dojo and assists with the Kid Ninja program.

     
 

Chris Born

Chris started training in 2005 when he was a sophomore in High School. After graduation, he moved on to Ohio University where he personally organized the OU Budo Club as an official student organization in the spring of the 08-09. Since then, the group has grown to several members, and meets regularly twice a week Currently Chris studies Computer Science, is an active member of the Marching 110 Tuba section and also performs at OU basketball games.

     
 

Alex Ziton

Alexandra, or "Miss Alex", started martial arts training at the Ichi Nen Dojo in 2006. She currently attends Wittenberg University and studies Japanese language and East Asian Studies, as well as dabbling in Tae Kwon Doand Jujutsu. In 2010 she earned her Shodan in Budo Taijutsu, and was able to live abroad in Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan from September 2010 - March 2011, shortly after the Tohoku Earthquakes. Now back at Wittenberg University and is the president of the Martial Arts Club.

     
 

Keith Colton

Keith has been involved with martial arts since the age of six. He has spent the last five years training in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. In the summer of 2007, Keith spent two weeks training in Japan, and in 2010 he spent an additional five months living and training in Japan. In August 2010 Keith earned his Shodan in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. Keith currently lives in Los Angeles working as an investment banker, and has plans to open up the L.A. branch of the Ichinen Dojo.

     
  Phil Nam

Phil started martial arts at the age of five in New York City. In 1998 he earned his Shodan in Tae Quan Do in Seoul, South Korea. Throughout the years he has studied kendo, hapkido, and karate. He began training at the ichinen Dojo in 2003 and in 2010 Phil earned a Shodan in Budo Taijutsu. Currently Phil attends Ohio University and he is the assistant instructor of the OU Budo Club.

     



Mark Blankenburg began his martial arts career at the age of 8. As a student of Tae Kwon Do he later earned black belt at age16.  Mark began studying Taijutsu in 2003 at the University of Toledo. After moving to central Ohio in 2008, he began training at the Ichinen Dojo.  Mark earned his shodan in Budo Taijutsu in August of 2011 when he was training in Japan. Mark currently pulls double duty as an assistant instructor at the Ichi Nen Dojo and the Tae Kwon Do Instructor for the Wittenberg Martial Arts Club. In the future, Mark also wants to open a Taijutsu group in Mount Vernon, Ohio
